Surrounded by the cares of life
Situations rise they press against my soul
Desperate thoughts have blocked me in
looks like I may lose control

A voice from somewhere inside of me
Brings comfort, fills my heart with courage
And lets me know that everything will be alright
I hear Him say

Be still my soul
And know that He is God
Stand quietly, He is the Lord
If God is for me
Who can be against me?
Be still my soul
He is the Lord

Teach me Lord to stay in You
When my emotions try to rule me
Remind me Lord of who I am
Show me what you want me to be

There is great strength and confidence
Knowing that you are with me
I'm not afraid of tomorrow
What waits ahead
I hear Him say
Be still my soul and know that He is God

As a few of you may know. I have been writing a novel for some time. It is my second novel my first was a sci-fi that I was encouraged to turn into a series of short stories by a very well known sci-fi writer but I chose to abandon the sci-fi and go for the novel. The novel is very dear to me and I have dedicated much time to it.
I ask for prayer. I am done with my book. Yea!!!! and I have have met with my publishing liason who is poking me to hurry up and tweak it so that it can get published already.
So it's 9-5 o'clock book, book, book.
Pastor Angel has been very supportive I try not to ignore him by bringing the laptop with me to the living room while he studies. So at least we are together.
Writing is my life, fourth in line to God, Family ,Church. I write much better than I speak and whenever people see and hear the person behind the writing they are often shocked. I give God the glory completely and I have faith that he is taking me somewhere with this. Please continue to pray for me as I will continue to pray for you. I pray for those who are seeking job opportunites, promotions, arrival of children, soul mates, relocation and every other important next step on the rung of their lives. Always remember God first. Seek ye first His kingdom and all of these things shall be added unto you.

"Who Am I?"

The following riddle's answer is one word, five letters long, and appears only four times in its various forms in the King James Bible.

God made Adam out of dust,
But thought it best to make me first:
So I was made before the man,
     According to God's holy plan.
My whole body God made complete,
Without arms or hands or feet.
My ways and acts did God control,
But in my body He placed no soul.
A living being I became,
And Adam gave to me a name.
Then from his presence I withdrew,
For this man Adam I never knew.

All my Maker's laws I do obey,
And from these laws I never stray.
Thousands of me go in fear,
But seldom on the earth appear.
Later, for a purpose God did see,
He placed a living soul in me.
But that soul of mine God had to claim,
And from me He took it back again.
And when this soul from me had fled,
     I was the same as when first made;
Without arms, legs, feet, or soul,
I travel on from pole to pole.

My labors are from day to night,
And to men I once furnished light.
Thousands of people both young and old,
Did by my death bright lights behold.
No right or wrong can I conceive;
The Bible and its teachings I can't believe.
The fear of death doesn't trouble me;
Pure happiness I will never see.
And up in Heaven I can never go,
Nor in the grave or Hell below.
So get your Bible and read with care;
You'll find my name recorded there.

****

My name is Samuel Levit. I customized my name because people made remarks about me being related to the furniture company Sam Levitz. My son is named Odus. Don’t ask me to explain his name the story is too complex. Odus likes music. The other day he told me he had written the song of songs. He acts like it’s the next big hit, but it left me only lukewarm. I hope he finds something else to do. I also have a daughter named Diana. She is looking so hard for a job. A Diahann Brewster called yesterday to interview my daughter. Two women, with basically the same first name, talking together on the phone, that was a most confusing conversation let me tell you! The Brewsters own a tax preparation service next door to the Francophile Monastery. Father Eugene, Sister Mary Francis, and Johnson & Johnson are clients of theirs. Father Eugene is from Romanshire, Northern Ireland. He said he studied Greek in Corinth. I answered that he is a real pro! Verbs and nouns in the Greek are difficult to learn.

I asked Mr. Brewster for tax advice. He said that tips, alms, and donations were deductible, I just need a receipt. My brother Philipp asked if travel expenses were deductible. He just came back from the Holy land. He toured Judea. The tour guide, Timothy, said that it usually costs a lot of money to take side trips unexpectedly. The tour group had asked if they could see the historic sites of the Galatians, Colossians, and the Thessalonians. The tour guide said no, but the Ephesian site is open. Philipp said a hag gained access to his travel bag. “Philipp,” I answered, “did she get your camera?” He said he had it with him or she would have. Philipp said he would be in a jam, especially with mom, if that lady had taken the camera. That’s because it belongs to her.

Philipp told me about a souvenir shop he visited. He said he saw a pez, rabbi candy dispenser. Imagine that! The woman at the counter was named Lisa. I, ah, think that was her name. Anyway, she told my brother those aren’t the ones she ordered. She had ordered a rabbi statue along with pez dispensers, but the manager, Joe, let the stock boy practice ordering that day. “Do you like them,” she asked. “The company said I can reorder any number should the need arise.” Lisa said the rabbi pez dispenser was endemic; a holy man designed them. I believe the holy man is legitimate, she explained. He has a very mild persona, humble from head to toe.

The souvenir shop has books about the different battles of the Holy Land. One particular book was about Jere, MIA. He went missing about 586 BC. Lamentations over his disappearance could be heard for miles, or so the story goes. I heard it straight from a Lachish citizen. One hemi-Ahmadiyan Muslim was there and he verified the story of Jere. Jerusalem, at the world’s most fought over section of land in human history, has a violent past. According to prophecy, the future doesn’t look good either. My brother Philipp said he had a revelation and everything will turn out fine in the end. He asked me if I believed him. I said, “nope, terminate this charade right now!” He said “It’s the truth, read it for yourself!”

Lisa, the souvenir shop attendant, has a sister who works for the chronicle. She is a photojournalist. Her name is Jo. Nahant, Massechusetts is where she lives, but she travels a lot for the newspaper. Egypt had a big story break last month. The editor wanted the best her paper could send, so they sent Jo. Shu, an Egyptian god of the air, was up in arms over smog in Cairo. All they got was a picture of a dust storm. I think it was a hoax. I told my friend Dan, I eliminated Cairo from my travel itinerary.

Philipp wanted to take a cruise from Finland to Scotland, over Christmas. I protested, “We’ll, freeze!” “Kiel Canal is the way through Denmark,” he said. “It will be fun and I can catch up on my physics paper while we are at sea,” he said. “Now, lets see where did I leave off? Oh yes, the deuteron.” “O, my Philipp. You’re a sick man. A crowd of judges wouldn’t convict me if I tossed you overboard.” Well, we went on the cruise and just like I said, I froze! “Chari! Ahoy, Chari! Wait for me,” a voice said. It was the cruiseline dance instructor. She was late to port and almost missed the ship. The ship’s chef happened to be a college friend of mine, Gilliam Eccles. I, as tester of food, got half price on my cruise tickets for my services. That made the trip more worthwhile. Ship security was provided by the National Intelligence Authority. Zeph, a NIA hand-picked agent, was head of security. H.A. Bakk, Ukrainian composer and conductor, personally headed a shipboard concert on the final day of the cruise. It was the highlight of the trip! Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

There are the names of 16 books of the Bible in this paragraph. See how many you can find.

****

I once made a remark about the hidden books of the Bible. It was a lulu; kept people looking so hard for facts…and for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not capitalized. But the truth finally struck home to numbers of our readers. To others it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. A little lady says she brews a cup of tea so that she can concentrate better. See how well you can compete. Relax now, for there really are sixteen names of books of the Bible in this paragraph.

It turns out that a specific passage from the Gospel of John wasn't a religious conceit, that is a kind of poetic license John took to prove a point. It's true. Now there is proof.
When the sewer line in the Old City of Jerusalem needed repairs in the fall of 2004, the workmen made a historic discovery: the biblical Pool of Siloam. The Gospel of John cites this as the place where Jesus cured the blind man. Theologians have long thought the setting of the pool was a "religious conceit" used by John to illustrate a point. Turns out, the place is real. And it's exactly where John said it is, reports The Los Angeles Times of a new study published in the Biblical Archaeology Review.
What's more, it is much grander than anyone ever realized with three tiers of stone stairs on three sides that allow easy access to the water. Each group of steps is separated by narrow landings. The pool is about 225 feet long.
Respecting Religion [iVillage]It was here that Jesus, as he was fleeing the Temple, encountered a blind man. The disciples asked Jesus whether it was the man or his parents who had sinned and caused him to be born blind. Jesus replied that neither had sinned. Instead, the man was born blind so God's work could be revealed through him. Jesus then spat in the dust to make mud and rubbed the man's eyes with it. He told him to wash in the Pool of Siloam. After the man washed in the pool, he could see.
The Pool of Siloam is not only a holy site for Christians, but also Jews. In ancient times, Jews who made their annual pilgrimages to Jerusalem gathered at this very reservoir. Since Jesus was a Jew it would have been natural for him to have gone here, too. Scholars have long said that the place didn't exist and was just created by John as the setting for Jesus' miracle when he cured the blind man. A gospel that was thought to be "pure theology is now shown to be grounded in history," New Testament scholar James H. Charlesworth of the Princeton Theological Seminary told the L.A. Times.
Less than 200 yards away from this newly-discovered pool that was built in the 8th century BC by the Judean King Hezekiah is another pool of water that is also called the Pool of Siloam. This one was built sometime between 400 and 460 AD by the Empress Eudocia of Byzantium, who reconstructed several biblical sites. And just to confuse matters thoroughly, there is yet a third Pool of Siloam that predates the one visited by Jesus; its whereabouts are still unknown.
Hezekiah built the pool to provide a safe water supply to the people of Jerusalem in case they were attacked by the Assyrians. The workers also built a tunnel measuring 1,750 feet under the City of David that connected to the Gihon Spring in the adjacent and less vulnerable Kidron Valley. This pool was destroyed in 586 BC by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, but rebuilt in the 1st century BC before being destroyed again in 70 AD by Titus, the man who would become the Roman emperor.
Fast forward to the fall of 2004: When the men repairing the sewer line uncovered two steps, the work stopped so the antiquities' experts could have a look. They didn't have to look long before they were "100 percent sure it was the Siloam Pool," Eli Shukron of the Israel Antiquities Authority told the L.A. Times. How could they be so sure? When the workmen crafted the steps centuries ago, they buried four coins in the plaster, all of which date from 103 to 76 BC. In addition, in the soil in one corner of the pool, the archaeologists found a dozen coins that date from 66 to 70 AD, indicating that the pool was being filled in at that time.
The tunnel built by Hezekiah is also mentioned twice in the Old Testament, specifically Kings 20:20 and 2 Chronicles 32:30. The Associated Press reports that several years ago, geologists from the Cave Research Center at Hebrew University in Jerusalem used radiocarbon testing to analyze the age of stalactite samples from the ceiling of the Siloam Tunnel and plant material recovered from its plaster floor. The biblical record and the tunnel's age have been confirmed, the researchers wrote in the journal Nature. The Siloam Tunnel, a popular modern-day tourist site, is the one built by King Hezekiah. This is also significant because it is the first time that a well-identified biblical structure has been subjected to extensive radiocarbon dating.

How awesome is this?
Very Awesome!

If you believe that God and His temple are holy, and I believe that you do.
Let us keep reverance in His home.
I have felt a burden in my heart for awhile on the manner in which We have treated His home.
We don't need to have a Crystal Cathedral like Robert Schuller or a big fancy church like Joel Olsten but we can take care with love the beautiful temple of God that He in His infinite mercy has allowed us to worship in.
There is such an amazing comfort zone in our church that we forget to revere what the temple is all about. I have been guilty of it myself but feel that the Lord is displeased in our treatment of His home.

The lack of consideration in talking while others are praying is hurtful.
Love each other by being mannerly and not obstructing a conversation your brother or sister is having with God.

There can be laughter.
There can be joy.
There can be coloring and writing.
There must be reverance and there must be cleanliness.

I left a water bottle once on the chair I sit in and felt so guilty about it I couldn't wait to go to church to take it out and trash it.

That same guilt should be in all our hearts when we leave something behind.

Have a water bottle that's okay after all we don't have a fountain.
Bring toys for your little boys and girls because they can be attentive for so long before they understandably get bored.
Write down your sermon notes on a piece of paper.
But let's clean up after ourselves.
Keep in mind I am putting myself in this as well I have been guilty of the same.
I write this with nothing but absolute love for God and for the church and it's members.
I love to see the children playing in the benches when they have had enough of the grown up talk ,first, because they ARE In Church. Second, because they have wise parents who understand the attention span of their children .
I love to see people taking notes because they hunger for the word.
I don't mind the water drinking as long as it's not a loud guzzle with the noise of the plastic bottle being bent over and over again.
Reverance
Lovely, beautiful chuildren of God let us revere the Lord and His temple.
If I have offended anyone please bring it to my attention. My objective was to pass along a burden by God I felt to share with everyone.

Quick testimony-Little David was coloring in his seat the other day when the Pastor was preaching the sermon about "El Burro"
About a day or 2 after his father was having a conversation that seemed a little concerning to David and he said to his father, "Papa, no sea como el burro."
I truly beleive that while the children may seem distracted in their coloring and toys that they are receiving something from the Lord.

God Bless
With lots and lots of Love

26And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the LORD.

27For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

28Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.
